What Should I Eat? — Gold Card Vegan

When you first step foot onto the plant-based eating the question arises “Just what should I eat?” Surprising enough, it’s not as difficult as it may first seem.

The first thing is how healthy do you want, or need, to be? The reason I ask is that it will determine what you eat. If you are wanting to reverse any disease, then look at your food with the question, “Is it right?” You will probably need to be guided with changing to the whole food plant-based lifestyle.

If you are just wanting to be healthy then the whole-food is important, but you will be able to occasionally have foods that are still plant-based, but not necessarily whole. I refer, of course, to when you go out for meals and the beautiful vegan burrito or vegan cheese cake calls your name.

In this modern age, there’s a saying going around “Don’t eat anything your grandmother wouldn’t recognize” in my opinion, it’s a statement that’s pretty near to the truth. Mind you, for a lot of you young ones, you may like to change that to great grandmother…?

If we go back to that era most people we able to grow their own produce, they had veggie gardens and fruit trees from which they could eat fresh and what was over they preserved. I can…
