Watson: A Must-Watch Documentary about the Man Saving the Oceans

A new documentary has recently been released, and it’s definitely on my list of recommendations. The film is called Watson and is available for free viewing on Waterbear, a great site dedicated to interesting documentaries.

If you have yet to hear of Sea Shepherd, the organization that the documentary is based on, then let me fill you in. Captain Paul Watson founded it in 1977 after he left Greenpeace. Watson was passionate about saving whales and seals, so he acquired a vessel and recruited a volunteer crew to disrupt whaling and seal-hunting activities.

The documentary is a fascinating story that shows how one man’s passions can make a difference. But it’s not just about Watson; it’s also about the importance of our oceans and why we should prioritize protecting them.

As vegans, we tend to concentrate on land mammals and for good reason. However, we must also include life in the oceans in our activism. We should be concentrating on the ocean as a priority. The sea is the earth’s lifeblood, producing over 50% of the oxygen we breathe and absorbing 98% of the sun’s rays.
